The current Fluminense mountainous region and its space – losing economies, disjointed institutionalities and perverse social realities

This article aims to examine three aspects: the mountain region as a loser in the context of the state Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - indeed, as it has since the mid-1990s; its political and political-institutional disarticulation; and the fact that Rio de Janeiro mountain region show up socially perverse with its majority population, which, in part, is an expression of its low economic dynamism and pointed dislocations. Finally, here are two thoughts: the development of the region in the context state and the place of the mass of workers and destitute in general in its own sphere.
