The resumption of public and private industrial investment has been resulting in an important (re) ordering territories process headed by both demands and interest of powerful corporations. We can highlight the “Complexo Porto Açu” (Açu Harbor System), located in São João da Barra, as the most important current logistic investment project within Rio de Janeiro states. This papers aims to present some issues about founding development of Porto Açu. Presenting some issues this works give special focus to viewpoint of families farmers that live at São João da Barra 5th District. Furthermore, the article highlights the strongest conflicts and the setting up of local landowners and real state association as a resistance strategy against expropriations under way from 2009-2013.
