The regional planning and the struggle of traditional peoples for land on the Franco-Brazilian border

The border between Brazil and French Guiana occurs through the municipality of Oiapoque, in the state of Amapá, where major infrastructure works are promoting the development of the huge capital and space reorganization, impacting the traditional peoples way of life. This article aims to understand how regional planning is building a conflictive relationship between the traditional peoples of Oiapoque, assuming that this is a heterogeneous space, comprising diverse peoples, ways of life and, consequently, forms of land use and occupation, comprising cross-border relationships, which constitute a territory with different forms of land normalization. For that, the results of researches conducted between 2014 and 2016 are presented, which involved fieldwork, interviews, survey of secondary data and bibliographies.
