Latin America, as known, began in 1492, differing from the territory known as Abya-Yala by the people who lived here and, still in the XXI century, reflects the established relations throughout the colonization marked by territorial conquests and cultural and scientific domination. In this history some nations have strengthened themselves and imposed their way of being, living, acting and thinking, while others, even today, have their existence disqualified. The purpose of this work is to problematize concepts such as Eurocentrism, colonization/colonialities and development related to work in capitalist context and the concepts of interculturality and Well-being. The bibliographic methodological basis brings authors who discuss other ways of relating in the world, aiming at a society with equity and quality of life for all. After arguing these concepts and questioning the imposed hegemony, we bring interculturality and well-being as an alternative to development.
