Consolidation of a Regional Polo: Health Services and Centrality in Campina Grande, Paraíba

The research analyzes the city of Campina Grande in the regional urban network. Examines the centrality exerted by this city from the medical and hospital care, particularly medium and high complexity services. It was developed with the intention of understanding the (re) production of urban space in that city, in the medium-sized cities study. So, running the benchmarks concepts of Urban Geography is established a discussion that enables reveal that these services are responsible for part of the centrality of Campina Grande. The results point to the morphology of city centrality that regional to expand beyond the surroundings of the city and is included in several mesoregions state of Paraiba and neighboring states.
