The extension was consolidated in Brazil in the mid - 1950s with the task of educating the farmers and get them out of the " delay " .Over time a number of institutional and environmental changes occurred, as Technical Assistance program, Social and Environmental for Agrarian Reform in Brazil created by the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform in 2008. In this sense, the study aims to analyze the strategy adopted and the main actions and results of ATES program in Bahia. Methodologically used the documentary research from references and analysis of secondary data obtained through the reports generated from March 2010 to December 2012. Program ATES strategic to rural development, however, the evaluation is needed adjustments primarily related to leveling and unification of the decisions of coordination between agreeing and conveniadas considered.
