Power and management geographic scales and implementation of regional development policies in the State of Rio Grande do Sul

This article seeks to discuss behavior and interaction among actors involved in implementing public policies targeted at reducing regional inequalities, within the different power and management geographic scales, based on the case of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. Thus, the roles of the main actors were highlighted with regard to complementary aspects of different policies, based on the theoretical framework that underpins regional issues and on document study of assumptions, results and territorial impacts of these policies.
