A dynamic economic base is the main characteristic of farming regions with urban centrality. Starting from this statement as a hypothesis the article aimed to seek evidence revealing some positive relationship between urban centralities and the countryside. Therefore, we used regional indicators such as Score of the Centrality (SC) and the Municipality Centrality (MC), and Farming Census data (2017) and the Annual List of Social Information (2017). The analysis appointed that the size of centrality, also its capacity to aggregate productions, has low influence regards to promoting the spatial interactions with the countryside. Moreover, the urban population size turns into a massive issue for the countryside due to its limitations to face the medium cities. Despite that, the results suggest that regional centralities are very important in the process of spatial interaction between urban centralities and the countryside in Brazilian farming regions.
