Public policies in the area of security have evolved, offering societys participation in favor of strategies to reduce crime. Democratic assets make it possible to assess a variety of factors in the formulation of public policies and, through the Community Security Councils of the State of Paraná, this institute demonstrates how the active participation of the actors involved goes towards creating equality in the participatory democratic process. The objective was to diagnose whether the regulations and reports for the period from 2019 to 2022 of CONSEGs meet democratic goods. The methodology consisted of a qualitative approach, using the descriptive exploratory method in analyzing regulatory standards and reports. The results made it possible to verify a precariousness of information and the need to improve the implementation of the provision of participation or at least to develop ways that are desirable for regular performance, in order to be considered democratic assets.
