URBAN AGRICULTURAL AREAS: Implications of pesticides in the municipality of Ponta Grossa-PR with emphasis on public health and education facilities

The development of cities in Brazil presents a synchrony relationship between urban and rural areas, where arable areas are sometimes located in the urban perimeter causing a limit with public equipment. The use of pesticides in this context is intense and can generate negative impacts. The research points out the development of Ponta Grossa-PR, discussing urban policy and the production of urban space in relation to arable areas adjacent to community health and fundamental education facilities. Where lower, through maps and tables, there are 20 basic health units - UBS and 35 schools with less than 500 meters from arable areas, of which 1 UBS and 6 schools are less than 100 meters away. It is pointed out that proximity can cause damage to the health of users.
