Urban segregation can be seen as a structural process, intensified by forms of social organization, productive and economic systems and spatial occupation. Traces of inequality in the municipality of Caçador-SC, characterize its socio-spatial structure differentiated between peripheral neighborhoods and neighborhoods in central areas. Using official data from the City Hall of Caçador regarding investments in public works, the article aims to identify to what extent the presence of public management actions may have contributed to an increase in urban segregation in the municipality. The investigation showed a differentiated treatment of certain areas with public reinvestments, while more remote neighborhoods lack an adequate urban structure. As the land appreciated, there was a stimulus to the real estate sector, with the result that low-income residents were only able to access more peripheral areas with less urban infrastructure. In this sense, in this appropriation of urban space, the particularity of the increase in socio-spatial inequalities in the municipality is observed within a universal process of segregated valuation of urban space
